It is important to note that, in a time when solid gold Richard Mille Replicas are more desirable, and the 1969 Tribute to Apollo XI BA 145.022 and 1980 Apollo XI BA 3455.0802 are both on an upward trend,Richard Mille fake
and the prices for the 1979 Tribute to Apollo XI BA 145.022 and 1980 Apollo XI BA 345.0802 have been selling at sky-high prices. A recent example of the BA 145.022 sold in Hong Kong with Phillips for US$45,900 before buyer's premium.
The Prince Oysterdate - The Fourth Coming
Regular readers will know that Revolution is passionate about the Tudor chronograph. The Tudor chronograph has long since emerged from the shadows of its older sibling, Rolex Daytona, and is now a valuable watch for collectors. We can quickly summarize the watches into four series, with the 1970 release and subsequent series continuing into the 2000s. Summary:
1970 - Series One 'Home Plate' Oysterdate
There are two versions available: the 7031 with black plastic tachymeter bezel and the 7032 with a steel tachymeter tachymeter. A prototype that had a 12-hour rotating bezel was also available, but it never saw production. These watches were produced in the grey/black/orange color scheme.

1972 - Series Two 'Monte Carlo' Oysterdate
The 7149 series was available with a plastic tachymeter, 7159 with a steel tachymeter, tag heuer replica
and 7169 with a 12-hour rotating bezel. The Monte Carlos retained the same case as Home Plates. An upgraded movement was also available. It came with a matching pair of blue bezels and a grey/black/orange colour scheme.

1976 - Series Three 'Big Block' Oysterdate
The Big Blocks were part of the Rolex line-up for nearly 20 years. They featured both exotic dials as well as more reserved, Daytona-esque baton marker dials. The most important aspect of the third series were the automatic watches. They were 12 years ahead than the Daytona and the first auto-chronos in the Rolex family. Because the self-winding caliber required a deep Osyter case, Big Block was born. There were three versions of the bezel.

1995 - Series Four 'Prince' Oysterdate
Tudor introduced the new Prince chronograph in 1995. The Tudor chronographs' cases were very deep and flat-sided up until then. This gave them a real presence on the wrist. The case was completely redesigned for the fourth series. The case's sharp edges and flat sides were gone. Instead, a softened version was used that looked very similar to the Rolex Daytona. The introduction of a sapphire glass, which highlighted the watch's lower profile on the wrist, further enhanced this new sleek look.Richard Mille Replica Watches

The 79260 watch had an aluminum insert for a tachymeter. Three watches were available. The reference number refers to the type of bezel. They were:

79270 - Black aluminum rotating 12-hour watch
79280 - Polished Steel Fixed Tachymeter Bezel

The new 79200 series watches, like their predecessors, were initially only available with steel Oyster bracelets. However, Tudor's Jubilee interpretation eventually became the default bracelet and the Oyster was discontinued. The Oyster bracelet was not the only thing that was discontinued. "PRINCE" replaced the Oyster word from the dial.

In the initial transitional years, Rolex brand winding crowns & casebacks were phased out. There were many colour options for the Prince Dates. Many of them came with matching leather straps. I refer to them as Tudor Beaches
They are similar to the 2000 limited Rolex Daytona Beach edition. There were also versions with Arabic hour markers that replaced the baton markers. The brand ambassador Tiger Woods was Tudor's tie-in, and his name was used on some dials. These dials are also known as Tudor Tigers by collectors.

The fourth series featured a new feature: a leather strap with a Tudor deployment buckle. Watches sold with leather straps had a unique half-endlink that created a flush-fit between strap and case.
This concept was used previously on precious metal Daytonas that had half-endlinks. However, the Tudors' half endlinks could be removed so that the watch could be fitted with a bracelet, if desired.
These fourth series chronos have become a bit of a'sleeping monster' and collectors are starting to love them for their contemporary aesthetic and high-quality build quality. These chronos are starting to be sold at major auctions. I recommend you visit our online store now to get one while you can!
